In short

In this article, you will learn how to easily transcribe your zoom meeting online. The only thing you need is an internet connection and zoom.

How to transcribe your Zoom meeting:

  1. Record your meeting.
  2. Log in Type Studio.
  3. Upload your Recorded meeting.
  4. After the upload is finished, the transcript appears on the left side.
  5. Doubleclick in the transcript to correct mistakes.
  6. Click on "Export text".

Record the Zoom call

When all participants entered your Zoom meeting, click on the “record” button in the bottom bar of your Zoom window.

Stop and get recording

When you are finished with your meeting, click the “stop” button in the bottom bar of your Zoom window and end the meeting. Now you have to wait a short amount of time until a window with your video opens.

Upload the Zoom recording video

After logging in, you will be directed to the dashboard per default. To upload the Zoom recording, click on the top left card that has a plus on it. You can now drag your video into the dropdown area or choose the video from your computer.

Transcription

After you choose the Zoom recording from your computer, we automatically start to transcribe your video. This process will take a few minutes. Please don’t close your browser tab while we are transcribing.

Download

To download the transcript, click on “Export Text” in the top right corner. In the dropdown, you can choose to download the .srt, .vtt, or as a raw text file. If you want to know how to add these files to YouTube or LinkedIn, take a look here.
